srt marine

The NAIS-500 is a Class B AIS Transponder with GPS-500 antenna for marine navigation. This marine transport device is installed onto shipping vessels to communicate with navigation systems, reducing the risk of collisions in busy shipping lanes and ports.

We worked with SRT Marine to develop the mechanical design, taking an Industrial Design rendered concept through Proof-of-Concept, high-volume component production and into contract manufacturer assembly.

The enclosure was designed to an IPX7 rating, requiring rigorous waterproof testing to withstand particularly harsh environmental conditions.

owlstone medical

The ReCIVA is a facemask developed to reliably take breath samples for research purposes. This device is non-invasive and works by collecting volatile organic compounds (VOCs), proteins, lipids, viruses, and even bacteria that are exhaled from a patient’s breath in absorbent tubes that are removed from the device for further analysis.

We worked with the client to develop the device housing, silicone facemask and tube carrier. The ReCIVA was developed for initial trials, with components and assembly created for low-volume manufacture utilising vac casting and machined suppliers.

Key considerations included designing for inclusive use, biocompatible materials and finishes that would work well within a clinical trial environment.

cambridge broadband networks

The VectaStar 600 FLEX is a compact communications antenna that delivers data in the most congested and hard to reach areas. Capabilities include ETSI 26GHz band alongside FCC LMDS A3/A3 (29/31GhZ) band, and can easily be installed in cities, academic campuses, hospitals and industrial developments.

We carried out the product styling, design to prototype testing, followed by mid-volume production and assembly. Prototype testing was undertaken using investment cast aluminium housings, IP waterproof testing and informal drop tests. Production was transferred to die cast manufacture and contract electronics assembly in Asia.

sportlight.ai

The Sportlight stadium camera is a hyper accurate device for football teams, utilised around the Globe. With LiDAR and optical technologies, the unit captures player data allowing football teams to analyse performance, develop talent, monitor rehabilitation from injury and prepare for future matches.

We assisted Sportlight with the initial component concept layouts, refinement for prototype analysis, part procurement, initial assembly, followed by transfer to low volume manufacture. As the camera units were being installed in every Premier League football ground, this required our engineers to create an array of clamping accessories and alignment options to accommodate stadium variations.

cinnamon hill

The Cinnamon Hill grater was designed to compliment the sales of Sri Lankan cinnamon. The ceramic cup neatly houses the turned / CNC grater alongside providing a cute cup to collect and pour the grated cinnamon.

We assisted in the Industrial Design of the product, alongside developing the CNC wooden handle and stainless steel chemical etched cutting pattern. The pattern was tested to ensure the grating process was effortless and every action created consistent and high-quality powder.

spt labtech

The Apricot DC1 is a multichannel pipetting platform that allows lab technicians to undertake a vast array of tests and procedures using an automated machine. Nine deck options allow laboratories to reliably undertake copying, mixing, pooling and aliquoting, alongside the preparation of serial dilution of liquids.

We developed the large 800mm wide external protective enclosure, taking a rendered sketch through to low-volume manufacture. The client required a quick turnaround of 4 weeks to showcase the new equipment at the highly regarded SLAS show. We developed components for vac casting, CNC machining, painting and undertook final assembly and delivery of two units.
